Michael Todd Avery - Executive Officer

Todd Avery began his career in the financial industry in 1994 as a Mortgage Banker in Goldsboro, NC. Working for various companies and climbing one corporate ladder after another over the next 8 years, he used a work ethic learned while growing up on a tobacco farm in the Carolinas to gain valuable knowledge and experience.  That work ethic paid dividends for him in 2002.  At that time, Todd became the Chief Operations Officer for a national mortgage lender based in Northern Virginia named Carteret Mortgage Corporation. As COO for Carteret Mortgage Corp., Todd helped them grow quickly and effectively to the top of the mortgage industry. 

In 2003, Carteret Mortgage with Todd at the helm of operations, was ranked by Thompson Financial as the largest privately owned mortgage company in America with an origination volume over 7 billion and over 2400 full and part time reps in the field in 49 states of the US.  During his tenure as COO of Carteret Mortgage Corp., Todd was also asked to serve on the Advisory Board for the Freddie Mac Foundation’s Loan Prospector Division.

In late 2004, after having success in the corporate world and realizing that his true passion was in the field training agents and assisting clients with their personal financial needs, Todd stepped down from his COO position to become a Regional Vice President for Carteret Mortgage Corp. in order to open up a new territory for the company in the Ohio River Valley in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. According to Todd, it was also a great chance for a small town country boy from Kinston, NC to escape from the big city of Washington, DC.

In 2007, facing changing markets and a shrinking list of wholesale banks in the US, Todd left the mortgage industry and became an agent for a financial software company out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Once again he earned his way to the top of his field quickly as a top ten earner for this national company, which had over 70,000 field agents at the time.  This feat earned Todd a feature story in Success Magazine. This company is also where Todd was introduced to the concept of building “safe wealth” and a “smart retirement” which fueled his passion for helping each one of his clients achieve personal financial success like never before.

Todd now lives in central Kentucky with his wife and two children where he serves as an executive officer for Accelerated Wealth.  Since learning about the incredible concept of “safe wealth” and “smart retirement” he has once again been able to create a successful business around his passion for helping people.  This is Todd’s focus today as he travels around the country teaching financial seminars with as many individuals and business owners as possible across the US. He has been featured in multiple publications in the financial industry throughout his career which spans 18 years of banking and financial services and is today known as one of the foremost experts on the subject of building wealth safely and securely.

Today, Todd credits his financial industry success and unique approach to building wealth to his extensive knowledge of the banking industry where he got his start in the financial world.

When asked what makes his approach different, this was his reply.
